These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Taplic Video, the free video catalog at https://video.taplic.com. The service is operated by Machine Mind Limited, 35 Follager Road, Rugby, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). By browsing the catalog, adding a video or claiming an entry you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
Who we are
Taplic Video is a discovery catalog for videos that are already published on social platforms. We do not produce, host or stream the videos. For every entry we store a small amount of metadata (title, short description, thumbnail image, creator name and the link to the original post) and we send visitors to the platform where the video actually lives. We never re host the file and we never strip the creator's credit.
What the service does
Visitors can browse and search the catalog, follow a link out to the original platform, leave comments and vote on entries. We record outbound clicks so that creators and visitors can see how much traffic a video sends. The catalog is free to use and free to add to.
Accounts and claims
You do not need an account to add a video. You can submit a link anonymously, or provide an e mail address so we can send a one time link that lets you confirm ownership of the entry, which we call a claim. Once confirmed, the entry is attached to your address and you can edit its title, description, categories and tags from your account. A creator profile can also be claimed, and profile claims are reviewed manually by an administrator before they are approved. Ownership follows the first valid claim. If an entry or profile is already managed by someone else, we will not transfer it without a clear right to do so.
Your content and rights
You keep all rights to the videos you link to. To display your entry we only need a limited licence to show the metadata you provide (title, description and thumbnail) inside the catalog and in related feeds. By adding an entry you confirm that you have the right to share that link and metadata and that the entry does not infringe anyone's rights. We always keep your original credit and the link back to your post.
Acceptable use
To keep the catalog useful and safe, we ask you to follow these rules:
- Add only videos from the supported platforms: YouTube (including Shorts), TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, X, Vimeo, Dailymotion and Rumble.
- Do not add spam, scams, malware, phishing links or adult content.
- Do not mass add videos you do not own and have no right to promote.
- Do not use bots or scripts to bypass rate limits or to create entries in bulk.
- Do not misrepresent ownership in a claim.
- Do not use comments for advertising, hate speech or harassment.
We may remove entries, comments or accounts that break these rules, and we may block an address that repeatedly does so.
Removing content
You can ask us to remove a video entry or a comment that you control from your account. If you believe an entry infringes your rights, write to video@taplic.com and we will act. Our Copyright and takedown page explains exactly what to include in a report.
Third party platforms
Taplic Video is not affiliated with YouTube, TikTok, Meta, X, Vimeo, Dailymotion or Rumble. When you click through to a video you leave our service and the terms of that platform apply. We are not responsible for their content, their availability or their handling of your data.
Warranties and liability
The catalog is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error free, or that every entry is accurate. To the extent allowed by law we exclude implied warranties and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your use of a linked platform. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service develops. The current version is always published on this page with its date. Continued use after a change means that you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law and contact
